Default VIR with my EG

Not too impressive, but what do expect out of a CX.

oh man, how awful. those gear ratios are just the worst thing honda ever designed. shifting from 2nd to 3rd sounds like a 1st to 5th shift.

i had a stock CX for two years... it had 5lug brakes, tein coilovers, swaybars etc... it handled awesome but didnt go very fast. was alot of fun tho.

i used to drag race my cx at Infineon... i did about 20 pass's with a best of 18.4 @ 70 and worst of 18.5 @ 68...

looks like u had a great time tho !

Nice video, just makes me realize why my plans to keep my CX stock lasted about a week.

An EX/SI trans may work wonders for you.

Was this the red EG in group 3? If so... your car might not be fast, but I applaud your track manners. MUCH better than most of our group.

I was in the blue/red Integra in the group.

Nice and smooth driving. I am SO glad I didn't put the CX engine back in my car. If you're anywhere local, I have an Si tranny I'll give you for free, just to help you out and get it out of my shed.

whoa! if i were you id take him up on that offer asap!

i blew up my si tranny when i had my Z6 in my EG. i swapped my CX tranny back in for a few weeks while my Z6 was being rebuilt. Man was it such a pig it didnt move at all. the cx ratios are the worst.

here some of my 1/4 miles time, might give you a idea on how the better gearing will help.

stock CX motor/tranny - 18.406 @ 70.44 mph
d16z6 motor w/ cx tranny - 16.33 @ 82 mph
d16z6 motor with z6 tranny - 15.33 @ 88 mph

the z6 tranny will make a huge difference even on your CX motor.

Looked good out there. You were leaving a bit of space to get to the gators, but your instructor was probably telling you to stay off of them for now.

That transmission is KILLING you. OMG! That would be the first thing I would do. When you were riding out the gears towards the end it seemed to help ALOT. Remember to stay smooth though.

Where at in Eastern NC are you? Im in Greenville.
