I replaced the alternator on my '96 and afterward my A/C stopped working. I don't see the corelation, but has anyone experienced a similar experience? I took the car to Firestone for an alignment and A/C check and their "top" technician (ahem) could not find the problem...they did tell me my system was full and they could find no leaks, and mentioned something about either the compressor or condenser not getting power. Any ideas before I take this b¡tch to the dealer - it's too hot for this sh¡t.
Is the belt still on it, which might have been taken off when your alternator was replaced if they replaced the belt also.
If thats not it, then i would check the relay underneath the bumper cover.

Belt is on...
I found what i think is the relay - behind the bumper in between the hood latch and the valve cover/chassis ground wire - but it's all hooked up. How would I check it?

Ended up being a bad relay. A/C works great now.
