valve cover problem

Default valve cover problem

im tryin to take my valve cover off so i can strip the paint off and repaint it ive taken it off before but this time 2 of the head studs on the corners wont come off the will turn but they wont come off i think they could be unscrewing from the bottom but then again i dunno i need some ideas on how to fix this please thanks!

if the nut is stripped you may be able to lift up on the valve cover (screwdriver between the head and cover) and pry up on it enough to help it unscrew.

if its unscrewing from the bottom dont worry its no big deal if you remove the whole bolt from like the cam caps or what not. Once you get it out you can just use another wrench and remove the hex cap from the bolt.

The last time you put the valve cover on did you torque the bolts to manufacturer specifactions?
