Default tranny ?

i bought a 1992 honda civic 4dr for $500 over the weekend. The car only has 95,000 on it, but my question is that its an automatic, and when driving down the highway between 50 and 55 it seems like it wants to jump back and forth in gears. Once you hit sixty its prefectly fine. Can anybody give me some suggestions on what i might check? thanks

change the tranny fluid, maybe its too old. on automatic trannies, the fluid has a lot to how the tranny shifts

it's a old honda auto tranny.

after a while they tend to shift like that so try the above statement and see how that works
