Default H4 Headlight Mod anyone tried it?

Ive searched but to no avail I have searched to see if anyone was brave enough to try and wire in and fabricate h4 bulbs into Ef headlights. Anyone know or have pics of this done before?

I am contimplating the benefits over buying HIDS

thats going to be alot of work..as h4 bulbs are dual filaments
and i don't see what the point of getting h4 bulbs when they'll give you the same output as a 9006 bulb.
if you want to go cheap, just get 9005 bulbs and cut the plastic inside the connector so it can fit..

only beneficial with h4 is that you'll get a casper shied on the bulb..you'll have a bit more control over the cut off of the lights..

-> what gets restricted is the actual headlight housing..
-> go hid 270usd

well see thats the kicker...I was offered a free set of H4 14k HIDs but since i have a dc2 on the way and a EF hatch both of which only take 9006 and 9005 I wanted to hack the ef to see what it would take

trying to get teh bulb on there wil be a mission in itself. lol
but good luck if you are able to do it.

go jdm ZC those are H4 arent they, and still the smaller size to work with your usdm hood.

i know for sure the longer jdm/edm sir lights have em, bc i have a set sitting on my computer desk here.

im just saying if your not doing a frontend swap just double check what bulbs the jdm ZC lights take, might be able to pick up a set and do it plug and play.

wouldnt cost that much since they arent really in demand either. from like hmotors, password one of the claifornia places.

JDM zc headlights take h4h bulbs, not h4. H4h bulbs are a lot smaller in diameter, so h4 bulbs wont just fit right in.

h4h and h4 are similar though, a lot less modding to use that then to try and convert 9006 to h4

^^PIMP! well actually everything works good instead of getting a DC2 I will be getting a EK to put the H4 HIDS I have in, and I think I will just do 9005 Mod, it seems way easier
