Default What lugnuts are you using?

I may as well get a new set as it looks as if a would-be thief tried to make off with my wheels unsuccessfully, but snagged a couple lugnuts before he got around to the lock

Kyokugen? I've heard they strip VERY easily. The Gorillas on JCWhitney?
I'd like some small diameter so they fit on my wheel. What are you using?

The Gorillas are not small enough? I just ordered a set but I did not get them yet. I hope they fit my 16in C8. My McGard key would not fit into the holes.

I just got some Kyokugen lugnuts, but I haven't put them on yet. I'll let you know if they strip easily after I put them on.

The Gorillas are small enough, I believe.

I heard the key is the part that strips easily...isnt it 7-sided or some garbage?

The problem people have with stripping kyokugens is when they don't use the torque spec recommended by kyokugen. It is not the same as stock. It's the key that strips and breaks.

I hope they don't suggest using a lower torque than specified by Honda to hold the wheels on. I got a set of McGard locks from the stealership, and none too soon, a week later I found 3 lugs gone on one wheel and only the lock holding it on. Luckily I had 4 extra lugs from installing the locks, but now I only have one extra.
