Default Specific info on wheel nuts

How's it going?

I'm having a lot of issues with fitting Honda wheels to my Suzuki Swift Gti...
Essentialy, as most of you probably know, honda use "ball seat" wheel nuts and a 12X1.5 thread, where as Suzuki use a "conical tappered seat" and a 1.25 thread.

Well, here is my problem, I need ball seat lug/wheel nuts with a 12X1.25 thread. Every wheel shop I have been to tell me they don't exsist. I have done a lot of googleing and again....nothing

A few people have told me to use the conical taper and it will be fine but, I race my Gti and (needless to say) don't want to lose a wheel at 150kph down Wakefield park straight

So, the questions....

1. does anyone race using a wheel with a ball seat and nuts with a concal taper? Any issues? Do they loosen themselves?

2. Does anyone know of a ball seat wheel nut in 1.25 thread?

Cheers'

This is the problem you get into when you try swapping parts between manufacturers.

I strongly recommend against using lug nuts with a tapered seating area on wheels with a spherical seating area, especially on the track. Don't do it - it's just not worth the risk.

If you feel that committed to the Honda wheels, and you can't find spherical lug nuts that fit, then replace the studs on your Suzuki to ones with the Honda thread pitch. You can then use the spherical lug nuts made for Hondas on those wheels, and tapered lug nuts made for aftermarket wheels on your Suzuki wheels.
