Default How can i make this steering wheel work right?

Alright, so my original steering wheel in my 4th gen is groty. The material moves, it leaves black stuff on my hands, etc...

So i found one that is from a jdm prelude 4th gen that doesn't have the air bag. I didn't buy it because its jdm. Yea, some people consider jdm to be like gold but i just liked the way it looked and that it has no airbag and it came from basically the same car.

Now, here is my question (and i searched like 5 times but came up with nothing that i was looking for) The wheels cruise control and horn buttons use this type of hookup.

I know it fits on the steering column but i don't think the car is wired up for this steering wheel. Is there like a jdm piece from a front clip that i need to make it work correctly?

Thanks for any help given.

..... Alright, the Japanese writing on the cc was kinda cool to me as well. but not because it is jdm bling. because Japanese writing is a neat writing style.

You should post a side by side picture of the wiring for your old and new wheel. That would help us understand your problem

A chinese guy talkin crap about japanese people with spanish in your name along with Kratos who is greek super-hero. You covered almost everything. Except for that Jamaican lude in the pictures thread.

I actually like that steering wheel. A decent replacement. The horn connection should be easy...just one wire. Even if that flat wire doesnt just slide on you can just modify that. the cruise control would be a little more complicated. What are the colors of the JDM cruise wires?

ok wire colors are blue with red stripe, green with red stripe and green with black stripe. as you can see in the pics the thing with the tabs disconnects from the wheel and has a wire clip that connects to it to pull off. I think the way it originally worked was it had three circular discs one inside the other that the tabs touched and completed the circuit so that you didn't have any wires keeping you from turning the wheel. also the inner circle on the little wheel has little clips so it looks as if it clipped into the harness with the circles. I wonder if anyone has a front clip that still has this intact. i have seen a few on eBay but they don't want to separate the wheel from the clip.

and to correct myself the Kanji writing is really cool.
And the reason im in JDM denial is cause whenever someone wants to adapt something from japan to their car there are people that bash them for just wanting Japanese parts. I don't want this cause its Japanese, i want it cause i think it looks good as well as the one piece headlights and fog lights and stuff like that. Tho i admit that people go a little too far with the clock block off plate on integras and the radio delete plates and stuff. That's just useless.

just follow the wires through the wheel and that hub and figure out which are which, then get any plug that will fit in the back of the hub, then you will have to custom wire it all to connect to the horn/cc
