H22a to Ek9 WIll it fit??
ey fellas...so i was looking around at engines...and saw a H22a for sale...about 1600 for engine, tranny, and all other components...and i saw a B16G2 for sale...buh for $2800 with everything and install...now i was talkin to my friend and he said go with the H22a because its cheaper and its alot more HP...now...what im wonderin is...will it fit? and if soo how much heavier is it? will it affect my cars weight alot or no? PLZ HELP!
it will fit, takes a lot of "know how" to install.
there has been rumors of 45lbs more then B series and that the H22 has lots of understeer. I will know better soon as im in the middle of this same swap.
keep in mind that the H22 is next to the hardest swap for civics.

35 lbs. heavier.
it will cost you about as much as the b16 swap after you factor in axels, mounts, and shift linkage.

well keep in mind, with a light weight flywheel and a carbon fiber hood, you'll practically be at the same weight as a b series. and you can further improve upon that weight with some smart thinking and some light parts.
