Default Shifter leans to the left..

I picked up a 90 si hatch last year and there has been a prblem with the shifter leaning to the left while in neutral and not staying in the middle. Because of this it hard to fnd third. Anyone know what maybe thi problem? I have changed out the shfter with a short throw, but still the same. I changed bushings too, is it the tranny?

thanks

your linkage might be tweaked, or maybe the position of the motor is

the only thing it really coud be is A) bent linkage B) Bent shifter C) or motor is not mounted right witch could mean you have a bad mount

is it B swapped...if so and whoever did it did the cut and weld linkage they might have welded it screwy, my friends car used to have that problem...if not yours could have gotten bent somehow or yea the motor mounts

i had the same promblem there are two rods for your linkage the stabilzer and the actually shift rod if itsa a swaped engine and somone cut and weld your links you can check by just taking them out and placing them on the ground the two enpoints should lay flat mine were alittle twisted and i just put it in a table clamp and got two big *** monkey wrenches and tourque the **** out of it, or your mounts?
