noob question

Default noob question

ok i have a 95 civic and i wanted to know if you can port a bigger throttle body like a 65mm on a stock intake manifold? i also search and could't find anything and maybe some pic if you guys have some done thanks.

if it's a d-series motor, you can go up to 60mm, if it's a b-series it can go 62-65mm, depending on what year.

You can change your throttle body to just about anything you want to, as long as it bolts up. But what would be the point, if the intake manifold is not port matched(along with some other mods) its not going to do you any good. Anybody got some good tech info to back up what i just said?? If i'm wrong, just tell me.

yes it is a D-series...sooo 60mm is the biggest i can go...and will the stock tubein for the air box fit the 60mm throttle body?

If you're porting the stock TB, yeah, why wouldn't the stock airbox fit? Also, why would you be using the stock airbox on a ported TB? What's the point of opening the airway half-way along the passage if you keep all the blockages further downstream?

This is money wasted.

If you don't port-match the intake manifold and tune the fuel trim, porting the TB won't do dick
