Default Drivers side door on 93 Honda Accord won't open

Have a 93 Honda Accord that the drivers side door won't open. Just shut it one day and then it wouldn't open again. Power windows still work but can not get the darn door to open for nothing. I have taken off the door panel but still can't get it figured out. Has anyone else had this problem and can you help me? Thanks

If that is true you should never go back to that shop. You'd be better off leaving your Honda in Cooters hands.

As stated above the latch broke. You have to remove the drivers door panel with the door shut which is a bit of a pain. Then you have to drill into the back of the latch at a fairly specific spot to get it to release. We charge 3 hours for it at my shop for R+R of a broken latch. I think the latch runs around $200+.

What a butcher job that link shows, the guy even tore up the electric door lock actuator, that could have been removed and saved him about $50.
