im working on a B16a with golden eagle sleeves, crower rods, J E pistons.. 9.0 to 1 compression.. its going on a ef with a turbo but im having a problem with the motor not spining after installing the head.. it does have 81mm sleeves so i decided to use a honda oem head gasket and it fits perfect.. the motor will not spin at all but i loosen the head bolts the motor spins?? it is a stock b16 head no mods.. any request please..

 

it almost sounds like the pistons are hitting the valves make sure the right length ros are in and the head was never machined also make sure it is in time just my opinion

 

i found out that the motor was just bad.. the sleeves was moving as the head bolts was installed and torqued.. so we took it to the machine shop and the have to re-do the sleeving... thats why the short block was only 1,600 bucks.. thanks..
