Question on an EGR issue
I have a 99 accord V6. I recently had the check engine light come up. The mechanic changed the EGR valve, but the engine light is still on. Another mechanic said the code is "EGR insufficient".
Any ideas on what else could be done?

Tell your mechanic to stop being shitty and throwing parts and diagnose the problem correctly.
edit: Which P code was it? There are a few with EGR Insufficient descriptions with them. I'll try and find the correct flow-chart if you give me the number.

There is a big giant hairy SERVICE BULLETIN about this problem, the intake plenum needs to be removed and the port where the plenum meets the head is to be drilled out and have a steel tube inserted there.

That particular service bulletin applies to EGR, there are other warranty extensions, some models have emission warranty extensions 14 years 150k miles.
