SIR style will clear. Mines a track only car so I just pinned it, I am using a VIS C/F zc hood.

You can also just got stock webbing, not reccomended though.

Yes some people do that it's tacky and depending on what mounts won't help.
It's a style thing too.

or you can do a full front swap but a few companys make an SIR hood that'll fit the US bumpers.

well putting washers in would be the cheap and easy thing to do.. id do it .. but a sir hood would be hot too. my friend just did a dohc zc swap and his hood touched.. and it looked liek cutting the webbing wouldnt do any good. .. havent seen him since the swap so i dont know what he ended up doing. but iv seen him drving with his hood on.. so maybe he did just cut it.

Is it just the valve cover that's colliding with the hood, or is it the hump on the cam gears. I think you can just get a hood with a hump that will raise above the cam gears for that car - I was looking to put a B16 into my 87 CRX last year at one point, and realized that after having to fabricate my own mounts, the engine would sit too high and the hood would collide. Heeltoeauto makes a hood for the 87 CRX with a hump, as well as the header panel 1 piece built in - which is nice. However, since EF's are substantially different from 87 and older Hondas, I'm not sure if any of this would actually help.

The ZC hood has the bump. But his isn't a ZC so he proly needs an Sir or Sir replica.

Which car has the ZC hood? JDM CRX? I'm putting in the ZC engine in my Civic Si HB... haven't gotten the motor yet, but it looks like I'll have the same problem.

i did the washer thing too with my ZC swap
friend also did it with his b16a

it's not so much "what car is it off of" because if you've got the USDM front, you will need an SiR *style*. Most shops will order you that, but just to clarify it, it's SiR style for the USDM front.
