Default f22/ h23

so i have this f22 block that this guy said i can have for free. it does need a rebuild but im looking at building it for my turbo project since it has good sleeves..my question is will my h23 head bolt right to it?? ive heard it would but the few searches ive done i cant seem to get any answers. thanks in advance for the help guys.

update: i think i found an answer in the form of it would have to be a f22b to mate to the h23 head..anyways im still interested in some imput

you can use your f22a and it should be easier than using a f22b. there was a huge thread about using an h22 on a f22b. look in that thread and there is info on the f22/h23.

you can bolt any f head onto any H block and vice versa, excluding the f20c

so putting an h23 head on a f22 block is actually even easier then putting an h22 head on.. use a f23 head gasket, lay it aginst the head and then the block and you will see on the head where you need to put a tiny dab of honda bond.. ive built many of these no problem.

there are threads listed in the f.a.q. for h22/f22, f23/h23, f22/h23, h23vtec, maybe another combo im forgetting, my mouse/keyboard are screwy right now so copying and pasting all the links would be a pita, but just look in the faq, the threads are long but are good reads and have lots of info...
