im really strapped for time, done some searches, but i guess i couldnt find what i was looking for...

i bought a crx 91, needs work. anyway... swapping the stock hf motor out, so its in the shop i cant take pics till later, but i noticed that the front bumper was held on by only black tie straps... further looking.. the front end is missing the front reinforcement bar/impact bar.... so its really loose..

now my question is - what do i need to get my bumper back into its original place, as in do i need more than a reinforcement bar? and i also noticed that the bumper is an 89.... will i have problems with this bumper if i get the reinforcement bar for a 91?

any help would be greatly appreciated.

Check out the classifieds here for people parting out crx's, someone should have a front bumper support for sale. I'm also pretty sure that 88-91 bumpers are interchangeable assuming it's all USDM. Good luck!

 

I got a new bumper reinforcement for an HF from ebay for $72 including shipping so that wasn't too bad.

The description says 90-91 though - not sure how it would work with the 89 bumper cover.

Someone correct me if i'm worng but i believe the only difference with the 88-89 and the 90-91 bumper covers are that the 90-91 have the fog light/vents on the bottom on either sides of the big center opening...As for bumper itslef i think the HF had a smaller support to save weight but that may have been certain years...

So in conclusion, Any year bumper and cover should work together...but thats what I have concluded from my knowledge not factual info, sorry but HTH
