Default Installing Apexi-WS

My new Apex-i WS catback exhaust just arrived in the mail (I've got a 94 GSR). Has anyone installed one of these before? Will I need any other parts besides those included with the exhaust--gaskets, bolts, flanges, etc? I just want to be sure I have everything I'm going to need before the old exhaust comes off. Thanks.

I just put mine on not too long ago (About 3 weeks ago). It's pretty easy, just basically unbolt the old one and slap the new system on. It includes everything you need.

The hardest part will be taking the bolts off of your catalytic converter. Mine was totally fused/rusted on. It didn't matter since I was going to be running a test pipe though.

Some advice (might be obvious, but hey): WD-40 up those exhaust hangers. It makes thing a lot easier. Everything will just slide on and off without having to spent 15 minutes per hanger prying at it with a screwdriver. And of course be safe and use some good jackstands. A buddy to help you is nice too.

Good luck.

EDIT: Oh, and as you do the install, keep the rear muffler section and tip covered up with the bubble wrap that it came with. It WILL hit the ground at least once when you're trying to get the damn thing in. You don't want to scrape up that nice shiny finish.

Also, make sure you have jackstands that will support your car high enough. You'll want as much clearance as possible.

I got it at Options Auto (www.optauto.com), and paid $383 plus shipping (around $440 total).

it will be easier if you unbolt the cat from the header then remove the exhaust from the cat. my bolt were very rusted at the exhaust and cat connection and this is what i had to do.

$441.22 shipped to Canada from Fusion-Racing.com, so it'll probly be a little cheaper if you're in the states.

Check out groupbuycenter.com for the info on it: http://www.groupbuycenter.com/buy.asp?row_id=5229

as a lot of ppl have said the CAT bolts are really hard to get off. unbolt and unclip the O2 sensors from the cat and take the entire assembly off from the header. what i had to do was take off all the heat shielding from near the cat and piping. even though i WD40ed the bolts they didnt budge. theyre 14mm bolts so i bought a 13mm socket and used a hammer to hammer the socket to the bolt, then put the wrench on and gave it a swift kick. bam, all done. hope this helps, it took me a hile to think of this, hahaha. gl
