im swappin over full gsr suspension to my 99 ek hatch and was wondering if i can also swap over the type r rear sway with any problems?

i do have the sway bar mount kit, but is there anything else i might need??

and yes you can use an itr rear sway bar on your car, but because of the way the bar attaches to the subframe (which is not at all sturdy) you should very seriously look into a reinforcement kit like the asr brace.
your stock lca's come pre-fitted to accept sway bar endlinks so you are good on that count. you will need something akin to the em1 endlinks, either oem or aftermarket (read: Function7 ) and the bushings asr makes that allow you to use said endlinks. the stock itr ones wont line up with the endlink holes in your lca thus the reason for getting heim-joint type endlinks.

another thing you might run into, is with the brace you will almost certainly need to use the bar without damaging your car, the bolt spacing for the d-brackets is larger IIRC on the subframe brace than on the stock subframe. i used energy suspendion bushings/brackets and they worked fine.

subframe reinforcement kit- i used asr
22mm brackets
bushings to adapt small endlink to the large sway bar hole

yes there is. and in fact it may be the most important part of the swap over.

get yourself a rear subframe support either comptech or asr.

also do a search in the archive for subframe , more than enough tear out examples on ek's.

You don't have to get the subframe brace. You can tear your swaybar mounts off the subframe like me.
