Default just looking for some swap feedback

i want to do a swap to my car but i dont have alot of time or money to get the anything more then a simple SI B16 swap or have a mechanic install it.i have seen alot of the "how to's"only thing is it may be a bit over my head,i know alot about working on cars but never attempted anything like a swap before.but basically if it would be too much for me to try ill just keep the D15b2 since it is running great
thanks

first swap, no time or money = no swap. Wait till you have time at least to attempt it yourself or if you are impatient like me have someone else do it for a little extra. It is actually not that hard, but if it is your first it will be.

You have something else to daily?

Should you try it? If you can get rides if need be go for it.

If your motor is healthy why not do MPFI for now, save you some time when you do a B swap and you'll alteast know a bit more then before.

You can do a swap in a weekend, you can do it in one day if you have everything together even if its your first swap...it really isn't that hard, the problem with the B16 swap is getting vtec to work which shouldn't be a huge problem...you could probably find a DOHC ZC which would be a good first swap since therre isn't much to it and it bolts right in...but yea start with the MPFI conversion and once you have that do your swap...its a lot easier to get the MPFI out of the way and have the car running properly...

You could fly me to Germany and I'll do the swap for you

I will read more into it just the wiring is the main thing i have seen that looks very troublesome since I have never done a swap before but I havnt looked at any of the parts in person to help me understand a little more.

good idea but if I was to fly some1 over I think buying a new car would be cheaper lol

Wiring isn't really to bad, just look at some wiring diagrams and always use the harness that is in your car and modify as needed

He he...I was just looking for a free vacation

easiest swap get a b16 cable trans, get a b20 and you'll spank most of your buddies for cheap, i have that setup in my crx and i smoke my buddy's in there 92-95 civics b16 93 hatch by 3 cars and 95 coupe gsr by 3-4 cars, fun torquey swap, need good tires to launch though, good luck.

that would be a beastly set up just I go back to the states in about1.5 years and want to keep it fairly simple since i will have to sell it due to the euro spec.but I already spank my friends I just wanted a little more power for the track.Nurburgring is where I always get owned due to the d15b2 but the local mountain pass is where I shine
