What are you all’s opinion’s on a Crx LS\VTEC setup?
I’ve got an LS\VTEC on the way, and I was curious to hear some of the different pros and cons of this hybrid setup. Yes I’ve done my own research. I know i'm going to like this new setup, but i’m curious as to what other people have experienced with a CRX LS\VTEC.
I think now I'd prefer to have a B18C either a gsr with a b16a head on it or a B18C5. It's just I'm thinking the honda build quality and tolerances are much better than anything I could get a machine shop to do.

TH Ls/vtecs are great. We have been pulling some great times with these setups.
Our own ls/v in a crx pulled a 13.2 on its firt time out.. few months ago.

My LS swap has been in for a while now so I've been thinking about getting a GSR head and doing an LS/VTEC too. What do you guys have to say about getting a block girdle or installing the GSR oil squirters (if possible at all)?

ls/vtec here. ridiculous amounts of tq and hp for such a light little car. got the bottom end built and balanced so iy revs much smoother than my b16 ever did, and i went with some forged pistons b/c of my last experince with oem pistons (some of you remember). running a pr3 head with skun2 intake mani and gsr cams. i would guess its a mid 13 sec car.
i say do the ls/vtec, i mean why not, its a great motor if built right...if i was doing it again i would definatly put in forged rods and a girdle with the oil squirters, and just use type r head parts(valves, valve springs, retainers, cams, intake manifold and t-body) you should be set with this setup, and maybe use some form of forged pistons and throw in a 50 shot of N2O and you would be set for a while, just make sure you dont get a shitty *** tranny like a Y1 or a USDM S1, get a nice JDM J1/S1 or a YS1...
