well some guy out of nowhere called my friends dad up to pull a tranny on a 94 civic, so he towed the car to his house when I was there and I was like is the motor good and he said ya. Only thing wrong with it is a lot of front end damage, so I look to see it was a d16z6 engine and nothing been touched and had a few questions cause I will be pulling the head and stuff....what all do I want off this motor besides head???I know its been asked but the car has to go tomorrow and want to see if I need the injectors and fuel rail or just take the head and ecu...let me know mates

 

What are you trying to do exactly? You can use those injectors to elimante your resistor box. If it's just a mini me you'll need to take the obd1 ecu plugs also and the plugs for vtec and such things that you don't have.

 

obd1 ecu plugs???....I taking everything for a mini me and I got the head off and took out the ecu as it sits with the injectors

 

Well, the z6 ecu is obd1 and the crx is obd0, so you need to convert.

 

nono ....I know that but if I do convert I be getting a rywire harness from ryan...I only grab the ecu to sell it if I dont covert...might stay odb0 with the z6 head cause I can still have vtech programed into my ecu I think by another member on this forum...I just wanted see what I should grab off it that I could use if I go obd1 route, cause car sitting in garage and be gone tomorrow morning

get the entire engine, tranny and ecu!

 

tranny was taking by someone else but I have an si tranny in my car so I rather have that....but i pulled head off cause bottom end has 180,000+ miles on it and wanted to take head get it cleaned up...

 

I'd take the entire motor (both manifolds included), the entire engine wiring harness, the entire cabin wiring harness (might need some of the pins or connectors some day), the ECU, the front seats, and maybe even the gauge cluster. Basically, anything I'd want to use or resell.
