In the market for some racing seats. Need opinions.
Sparco roadster

or
Corbeau A4

I need input as far a comfortability driving on the streets and long trips as well as good body support when at the track. Can't afford any Recaro SRD's but to me, racing seat is racing seat. That's all it matters.

I'd go with the Sparco bucket. I've sat in them and they are comfy. Do some research on them because I've sat in the Corbeau's and they arent comfy at all probably come out with a bruise on your rib or something. Race seats arent all the same.

to me the sparco's sides just aren't high enough. there are alot of other seats out there that have resonable prices. m00gen is awsome, but yes it is $$$$$.

What about the Corbeau Forza ?
I have one in my Miata and really like it. With rails and seat, the price came in around $280 shipped to my door.

Well you have one reclinable seat there and one non-reclinable. Which kind do you want.
If you have kids or use the back seat - don't get a non-reclinable bucket.
Any reclinable seat that you can get will compromise grip as compared to a non-reclinable kind. You sit ON a reclinable whereas you sit IN a true race bucket.

Reclinable seats are also much heavier than bucket seats.
SRD Recaros, for example, are over 30 lbs each (about the same as the stock seats).
Most decent bucket seats are 15lbs or so each.

i have the corbeau carreras.....i like them and so does everyone else that has sat in them...and for the price i am very happy....and i am by no means a skinny guy...and they feel great...good luck in your choice
Had the corbeau trs and likem them for daily driving. Not the greatest for the track though. Now i have two sparco torinos and really like. I sat in some srd`s this weekend and fell in love. I need to come up w/ some funds
Get the roadster. It seems to be a good compromise. It is lightweight and seems to be liveable on an everyday basis. I have recaro SRDs and if I could do it again, I'd strongly consider the sparco roadsters.
why is that?
or you could sell an arm and a leg and get carbon kevlar seats:

The Vison/Spoon generation 2 seats
If you weight above 150's you might be slightly uncomfortable. I'm really thin and they fit me snug. A friend who's 180lbs says that they are a tight fit, but liveable for track use only, for daily driving no way.
However the SRD's, or OMP, or Momo seats are just as good. Personally the stealth look and non-flashy look is kinda nice unless its a race car. Oh yeah, plus those seats actually will fit most people above 150lbs. lol

...I like the looks of the roadster seats better, plus they are significantly lighter and seem easy to get in and out off. I believe they are cheaper as well.
Thanks Ed
