Default accord ex-r?

this is a cross post, but it was in the wrong forum

hi, this is my first post, i was just curious about the car i just bought. It's a 93 accord EX-R, which is something ive never heard of before. turns out it was built in canada and someone imported it i guess. all the guages are in k/m with mph in smaller print. there's french writing all over the safety tags. its grey, and it has honda wheels on it that i havent seen on other hondas before. they look similar to the some of the stock ones that came on the 92-96 preludes.
if anyone could let me know what the specs are on this car id apreciate it. i tried googling it and it didnt bring anything up. i checked the block, but i cant fiind the engine code, its not where i usually see them.

i really like this car a lot, i used to have a 94 prelude vtec but it got hit and totaled. this car drives just like it, only not nearly as much power.

thanks in advance for any help

I am pretty sure that Canadian EX-R's are the American EX's, and the Canadian EX is the LX here... something like that. I think your engine is the F22a, and I can't remember the specs off the top of my head.

thanks, its actually my second car. my main ride is a dodge 1500 4x4, you can see the front grill in one pic. im not gonna mod it out too much, i ordered JDM one piece headlights and clear bumper lights and a intake + k&n filter. aside from that, no more performance mods, other than some good spark plugs.

i might lower it a *little* bit, 1-2 inches, and put strut bars on the front and rear. i want it to handle really well, any advice on what kind of set up i should go for?

i want tail lights (NOT euros) that looks stock, but where it's amber, i want it to be red. ive heard you can make them yourself by painting the lens, but i'd rather just order them. does anyone know where i could find these?

sorry to be so question-y i just got it yesterday and am curious about possibilities.

tech-nics - i always take great care of my cars. you should have seen my 94 lude before it got totaled. only 53K miles on it when i bought it in 2002! some old woman ran a red light and plowed right into me. ill dig up a picture of it later.

thanks for all the help guys!

us dx = canada lx
us lx = canada ex
us ex = canada ex-r

the car you bought is basically the same as a 93 EX from the US... comes with the F22A6 motor, which of course is basically the same as all the other F22's besides minor differences.

looks good, i love 92-93 accord coupes with stock spoilers. those are prelude wheels, they dont come stock on any accords. the color is called Rosewood Brown, btw.

as far as tail lights, no company has ever produced anything aftermarket for the 92-93 coupes... so youre outta luck. you can swap a trunk lid from a sedan onto it and get sedan tail lights, but the only options there are stock, red/clear, and altezzas... no all-red, those have to be DIYed...

...did that car ever have rear-end damage?

I think the 4th Gen EX-R's come with the F22a4.

The SE, and the EX-R Wagon come with the F22a6.
