B20 to B16 swap over help!!!
I'm trying to take out my smoking built B20 motor and need to use the car still. I'm planning on purchasing a B16A longblock to replace the B20 to allow me to use the car while I fix the other motor. I was wondering what things are going to be different? Will the mounts line up with the B16 Block???? All sensors are the same??? I will have new dist., alt, and P30 ECU with the longblock. Any suggestions!!!
u might be able to use the ecu u have in it now(since u had b20vtec) if it doesnt run like shet with a stock b16 (since i have no idea if it's chipped or standalone or stock mapped)
if youre using a chipped p28 it doesnt look for knock sensor so everything should be plug and play.
if your going to use a p30 or p72 then u have to wire up knock sensor.

Thanks so much. I think it is a stock ECU with a VAFC for tune help. I'm not to happy with this set-up and would rather tune with crome or neptune. I have to look and see what ECU is running in this car.
