Default Need help with speaker fitment in 94 LS..

okay so i got some rockfords.. T162C 6.5 i cut out the back of the basket of the stock speakers and it still doesn't fit.. im guessing the opening is way to small for the spekers?.. and if i dont use the speaker basket and just put it on the car (touching the metal) theres a gap inbetween so i need some filment.. so isearched and i think its MDF spacers?? if im correct well i need some help finding what size and if theres a DIY so i can make some thanks a lot

edit:: easier to make my own.. or what are some places i can buy the spacers at..

Two words. Spacer rings. You can make them or buy them. Metra makes universal ones in 1/2" and 1" thicknesses.

You can make them out of MDF, available at Home Depot or Lowes. You can buy them online, or at Circuit City or most any other car stereo shop...
