Default DIY shift light. check engine light. No tach.

This is a DIY for those of you that use your check engine light as a shift light. if you want to use your check engine light as a shift light then you will need somone to make a chip that has this feature. the pictures should help enough. you cannot just plug into + and - this will not work. the ground is not enough. and a direct ground will just keep the light on. this is a simple 4 way relay. this is the best way that i have found, might be an easier way. hope this helps somone.

I was reporting this thread then I realized I might get in trouble for reporting for no reason.

Reported because this belongs in the market place. Stop soliciting shitting lights to tell you when to shift.

What he's saying is that he's doing the same thing, only moving the light into the vent rather than on the cluster.

The shift light is not activating the cel. From what I understand he just ripped the light off a tach and hooked the cel up to it so that the shift light will be in the vent and not on the cluster. I have crome and use the cel and he has crome and is looking to use something besides the cel.
