Default DC sport headers.... did I get a good deal

brand new DC sport ceramic header shipped from ebay for a total of $135. Think that was a good deal. I know they don't add alot or if any to HP and stuff like that. but I figured it was almost the same price for the megan headers.

Was it a good buy? I don't plan on doing any heavy mod's to my car.. just the basics..

you'll get the "dc headers are junk" a lot but i don't think they're that bad. just do the 2.5 collector mod

They are OK until they start to rust and then they look like crap.

good deal only concern i have is that they dent VERY easily. but other than that its a nice simple mod with a mild gain.

I say you got a DC Sports Header for a cheap price.. As I've seen then go from $100 to $400, as in, selling for that price..

Not that I would buy one... Nor am I saying they're worth it.. Nice stock replacement though..

ya the guy I bought them from was selling his prelude and he never put them on.. So I ended up getting them for a really good deal.. Well thats what I'm guessing now.. since some peeps pay well over 200 for them...

I installed them yesterday and I can say the diff isn't alot. but I do feel a better midrange in power. and from what I can tell.. the header has less bends then the stock one.. which is good right? and when I mean bends. I'm talkin about the manifold that attaches to the down pipe.

anywayz.. I like what I got for the price.. :D

lol!! Wowz0rs... Dang dude.. I was just messing man, just like you were.. I was wondering why you said you had just bought a DC-S Header when I knew you had a turbo'd Lude.. I didn't understand that.. But ya kinda went over board with the testosterone there buddy.. Calm down, I know you have a nice ride.. And yes, you push my HP than my car.. As it doesn't even run at the moment..

Again, sorry about the mis-leading comments.. But just because someone is newer to the boards doesn't mean they're an idiot..

Id say thats a good deal for a brand new one...about 4 years ago I bought one for that used. But with all headers, in reference to manufacturers, they can't provide much advantage to stock engines unless you increase bore or are boosted then the difference comes in with the appropriate sized header

Its a good deal, but I would just sell it and make a profit and buy a better header later on.

hahah.. hey russ.. the 98 sh header won't fit the 93 vtec lude cause SH has a differen't design then the base model.. therefore it won't bolt up properly.. and as far as a mod collector.. he is saying go down to a muffler shop and have them cut the end of my down pipe off and put a bigger pipe.. it's where the two pipes from the header meet.. making it bigger helps with air flow :D.. I think thats right

That was a $135 wasted...The DC header is about the same size as your OEM header. Not going to really get any gains from it

Where was anyone saying that they knew all and were "mod wannabe's". Your car is good is fast and all that, so what. Doesn't mean you have to put their car's down.
