Will Tokico Illuminas and Ground Control Coilovers from an EG fit on an EK?
Someone is selling some Tokico Illuminas with Ground Control Coilovers from a 94 EG Hatchback... Will they fit an EK hatch? I have a 98 with a gsr disc brake swap.
Thanks!
Thanks!
i believe that the only diffrence is the width of the bushing on the rear LCA, if im not mistaken the bushing is wider on the EK so it just needs to be cut a little, if not, its smaller and needs to have spacers. nothing much to it.
illuminas come fromt he factory with the wide lower fork to fit eg bushings, and incllude spacers to fit the narower ek bushings. every listing for illuminas for a civic of those years ive seen advertise 92-00.
the dude youre buying from might not have the spacers, if he doesnt, contact tokico and im sure they can get you some.

Unless they've changed it in the last year or so, there are different part numbers for the EG/EK, all though it's just a letter after it, which means include the washers.
A hardware store will have what you need. Jsut make sure to center the arm over the bushing for best performance. (ie spacers on both sides, not just one larger one)

The application chart on Tokico's website has p/n BU3456 & BU3457 for the front and BU2847 for the rear for civics-92-00, same p/n for integras.

It looks as if theyve dropped the letter differentiation between the years, so theyre probably just packaging all kits with the washers.

they probably got tired of all the people calling in to the tech line trying to figure out what the difference is and what the letter means.
Plus I'm sure it's better for stocking to have the same one...
