Default Will a Z6 tranny work with a ZC motor?

As the title states, will a Z6 transmission work with either a sohc or dohc ZC motor? Searched but didn't find an answer, thanks.

Yes it will - the question is what year is your car?

If you've got a 92-up Civic then yes you'll want the Z6 tranny on that ZC engine. DOHC, SOHC, VTEC, or not - it doesn't matter they fit the same.

hey i just swapped my 96 lx y8 tranny on my zc with a z6 tranny everything mounted up fine but im having issues with the speedometer not reading the correct speed example it shows me going 50mph when im doing 40-45mph am i going to have to get a new guage cluster or ecu or what to get it to read the correct speed (im a noob to this still but im learning)

thanks

p.s. im having a very slight 3rd gear grind guessing its the syncro so i had the fluid swapped with syncro mesh but the guy at the shop added a quart of ATF too im thinking i should swap the fluid myself and use just gm syncromesh only

Maybe start a new thread or search. The original question was about a swap. Yours is about a speedo.
