Default 96 Coupe EX with 99-00 Si Stock Exhaust?

My wife has a stock 1996 Coupe EX. Being a former Indiana/Ohio car the exhaust is dying and at the end of its life. The B pipe is gone and the muffler is in poor condition. I will have to replace everything from the cat back. It must stay stock with stock exhaust note (if mamma's not happy ain't nobody happy).

Would a 99-00 Stock Si exhaust from cat back fit (bends, hangers)?

Is the Si pipe any bigger than the EX pipe?

If there are any links or anyone has first hand experience please post

I just finished bolting up an EM1 exhaust to my 95 sedan. To my knowledge, any 92-00 coupe or sedan has the exact same exhaust, as far as bends and length. The only exceptions are hatchbacks

An Si exhaust should bolt up perfectly to your car. Also, my stock piping was 1 1/4, it was an EX, and the Si exhaust will be 2 inch piping. It will have the same quiet note, the difference isnt really noticable until vtec. Its the perfect sleeper exhaust IMO.

Thanks, you will have no problems, it will fit perfect. As far as the size, I am almost 100% positive that they are the same size.

So there would be no great advantage to having a Si exhaust over a EX exhaust as far as pipe size.

Not that I am aware of, unless the EX muffler has that nice stainless tip?

Just picked up an em1 exhaust, hopefully it bolts up as well as everyone says. From the looks of it, it looks identical to whats on my 94 ex coupe.

That sucks I was hoping that the Si exhaust had a little larger piping. Oh well.

Just swapped it onto my 94 ex and it fits well other than having to remove the heatshoelds. It also hits my shifter a bit but nothing a grinder won't fix.
