swap the seat pans so you can use your stock brackets

are you f'ing kidding? maybe if they were USDM ITR seats that could possibly work, but he's asking about JDM ITR recaro seats, which are a completely different animal. you definitely can *NOT* switch the pans to use EF rails.

to the OP, get recaro rails made for your car and bolt them to the seats.

DALLEN, would you mind measuring the space between all the bolt holes on the bottom of the recaro seats (I assume there is 4 holes). Perhaps someone could come up with something for you. I would sure like to know the distance between the two front holes, the two rear holes, and the distance between the front & rear holes on both sides. Also the diagonal measurements...

I guess like this:

ok the measurments are (from the center of each bolt hole)
measure's 16 inches accross the two front holes and there are a set of holes one inch behind these holes that also measure 16 inches accross there are two holes at the back that measure 16 inches across and from the back hole to the front ones are 9 and 1/4 inches to the closes set and 10 1/4 inches to the closest set to the front thanks

o o

|\/|<--------------------- as you you can see there are two sets of holes at the front
|/\| if you couldnt visualize that during the write up.....lets see
o-o what you guys can come up wiht thanks !!!!!!

Over here in Japan there are a lot of "generic" Recaro/Bride low position seat rails that most parts shops sell. I am assuming that any shop that sells Recaros or Brides should sell them. Before someone says anything the bolt pitch is different between Recaros and Brides but they have seat rails that can be used for both

Now I just need to measure the bolt holes in the stock seat rails for a CRX. I've seen a thread about making 1/4" aluminum plate adapters to bolt aftermarket seats to OEM sliders (click here for details). I would really like to know if this would work for a CRX. The guy says the plates always pass tech inspection too...

Thanks for taking the measurments man...

Do you know if using all 6 bolt holes is required, or are the extra front ones there to allow more install options?

im not to sure they are about the same hight as stock maybe a little shorter so it all depends on the brackets you make or buy i guess!!!

Put 2 flat bars (bought at local hardware) across each seat. Mount stock railings on the flat bars. Use Washers to level the seat... Cost for both seats, less than $50...

Kind of a n00b question but I saw some yellow jdm itr's today. They were quite dirty and beat up and there was like a "gap" between the back support and the lower piece. Is the gap normal on these recaro's?

Interesting, I don't know how it's hold up in an accident though!

It depends what kind of bolts you're using but basically, no matter if you're using stock sliders or aftermarket ones. Bottomline, you get into an accident you better be wearing a seat belt.
