Default Cam 180 degrees off on a D15B7

What kind of damage/problems would this cause?

Junkyard engine as it sits seems to be in said condition
80,xxx on it.
Just wondering if it is going to be completely buggered

How do you even install the cam 180 degrees off? If it ran like that, it only ran a couple times. Don't buy that motor. Ever.

But I guess you figured that.

Well the marking on the gear (when the crank was TDC)
was pointing down.

I don't want Archidictus to rip off my head and **** down my neck again.....but couldn't it just be that cylinder 1 is at BDC, and if you turn the crank around 180 degrees, it would be the correct position?

That's exactly what happened

With the engine that far out of time, I doubt it ran. If it tried to run like that it probably did damage and I would avoid it.

engine is not out of time, matter of fact it is in PERFECT time, #4 is at TDC of compression stroke, #1 would be at TDC also only on the exhaust stroke.

Rotate crank one full turn, cam will turn a half turn..........

Both back at TDC, amazing how that works
