already searched this and didn't see anything that helped, so here goes......my car is a 90 crx dx, unmodified. it has a strange idle, and so far i haven't been able to figure out what it is. the car idles really high, usually somewhere between 2-3k. here's where it gets strange though.....it'll idle like that for a while and then all of a sudden drop down to somewhere between 1k and 1500, and then right back up again. ocassionally it'll idle right around 1k as soon as i start it up, and idle normally for the whole trip, and then the next time i start it, it's back to the weird idle. i haven't been able to locate any vacuum leaks or anything, and other than the idle problem the car runs like a champ. as always, any ideas/thoughts/suggestions/smart-*** comments are welcome.

 

check the gas pedal cable sometimes it get stuck in the brakets
