Anyone run 225/45/15 or 225/50/14 on H4 or ITA CRX/Civic?
Is anyone jamming that much tire under their (legal) track car? What offset are you using on the wheels (presumably 7" width)? I've been told it's worth a second at Waterford Hills (I've never raced there either). I'm moving from an ITB Suzuki to an ITA CRX, and have noticed the local ITA Hondas run 205/55/14 (same OD).
Any insight is appreciated.

Most of us run one of those sizes.
For your CRX, you should use a 38mm offset wheel. That will be perfect!!
I use a 15x7 38mm offset with a 225/45/15!

Thanks - awesome info.
Any problems with fit at the 5" ride height minimum? The car I'm buying currently has 550/900 spring rates with custom valved shocks, so it should have enough stiffness to run at the minimum height.
Do you have to severely roll the fender lips? I was looking at the Tirerack tool as a possible solution if that's an issue.
Cheers,
Martin

You do have to roll the lips to take care of the metal lips on the inside of the rear quarter panels. You can roll the fronts in rather easily. You can almost use your fingers.
You don't have to go crazy and get the 300 tool from tirerack. You can use a jack handle between the tire and lip and that should take care of it!
