Type of Auto trans fluid?

By buddys automatic civic beater has a dry tranny. Is there any special fluid needed? I know Hondas have a special PS fluid..

I ran my auto tranny on dexron for a few months. I thought I was going to have to replace it. It started shifting like crap and even slipped a little shifting from 2nd to 3rd. Drained it a couple weeks ago and refilled with honda atf ($6.00 per quart - 3 quarts)- ran it for a day, drained and refilled again and the tranny shifts fine now

Honda ATF all the way!

Im gonna have to get some Honda atf, im actually experiencing slips. Didnt think it would be the fluid.

Yeah get the real stuff HONDA GENUINE.
I got an Auto D too, and it's what I use. Most definitely son.

Better than a Genuine version of windows :-p
