Ok. I have a simple problem (i think)

I own a 92 accord ex 5spd.

I put a jumper into the blue socket where the ECU was. I turned the car on and the MIL/check engine light came on in this way:

On
Off (Long pause)
On
Off (short pause)
On
Off (long pause)
(starts over again)

My car has no power under 2500 rpm, I can floor it and its the same as me lightly accelerating no matter what gear im in. It also leaks a little oil and recently it does not start up on occation.

Being 18 Im not loaded so I wanna save money by attempting fixes on my own if i can.

Ive search over the net and it seems I have a problem with my solenoid which interestingly enough has something to do with the EGR.

Any ideas?

Yes, the solenoid opens the EGR. What is it doing?

 

Well, the egr has to do the exhaust. My car sounds like it has no muffler, like it has a hole in the exhaust.

replace the EGR valve, the lift sensor is bad.

 

Thats basically the perfect answer. My car also doesnt start in hot weather. If I let it cool down it starts. It runs totally fine besides the no power before 2500. By the way, any past or present help is much appreciated.
