new item "GREDDY Intelligent Informeter"
...first off.. I've searched around on H-T and nothing came up...

Does anybody on here have and uses this new item from GREDDY?
Is it worth it? Does it work well with chipped ecus?

The Greddy Intelligent Informeter is a great looking, but inexpensive alternative for monitoring your vehicle’s parameters using the factory OBDII Port.
Designed with a compact plug and play color LCD display, the Informeter allows you to monitor, set warning points and data log your vehicles performance though it's own OBD sensors. Select through important signals like Speed, Tach, Temps, Air Flow, Voltage, etc. (up to 25 channels), to monitor. The easy to use navigation menu allows you to select between various screens and displays: Digital, Analog or Bar Graph and 2ch, 3ch, or 6ch screens. You can also set warning points and pre-warning points, which will alert you with audible and visual highlights of important readings. Data log up to 6 channels of data, and replay them. This is great for tuning. In addition to being functional the Informeter is also infinitely fashionable. Seamless changes in backlighting color, GReddy signature wall papers and colored backgrounds, along with a clear bezel to install colored face plates or even custom face plates, offers endless options to match any vehicles interior. And to aid in mounting the unit can flip the display 180 degrees to free even more options. The GReddy Informeter is a key tool for all; beginners to pro tuners.

I'm going to guess that you'd need and OBD2 connection port under the dash and need to be running an OBD2 ECU. Also, this probably won't work on OBD2 cars running Hondata, Crome, etc on a chipped OBD1 ECU.

But its still the obd2 harness. So in my case it wont work, we are assuming.

I'm willing to be money that it won't. OBD1 ECUs can't talk to normal OBD2 code readers even if the OBD2 port is there.
In my opinion all these OBD2 scan gauge things are kind of pointless anyways and just for bling.

I'd be tempted to get one somewhere down the line, but I have other things to take care of first. I need a few more parts here and there before I can get my turbo setup going. Also have CC bills to worry about lol...

Those stand-alone code readers are like a grand so I wouldn't expect it to have that feature.
