Crv tec question
I just need some imput about opening up my gsr head to match
84.5 pistons, I been told that If you dont open up head, you can
run into a overheating problem, because of heat spots around combustion chamber
enlighten me please

I dont think deshrouding the head is needed. I know multiple people with cr/vtecs, and they all have GREAT success with stock bore heads. The risks involved with a deshrouding job just dont seem to justify the rewards for a street application.

The reason they deshroud the chambers to get a more effective quench area, and to make some more open space around the valves so that the head flows better.
I have never heard of any overheating problems because of not doing this to the head.
