Default sidemarker stress

man i i just installed my sidemarkers... hell of a time...
anyways... my right parking light does not turn on when i signal...but when the headlights are on, they turn on. hmmm.. i checked the wiring and since i use 18 gauge stranded wire, i used a female connector and crimped the 2 sides of the red wire on and the 2 sides of the green wire on another connector. i checked the wiring and they all connect. why is this??
thankss

Side markers should only be wired in 2 ways..

green to side marker and red to side marker

or

red to side marker and black to side marker

---------------------------------------------------

you should check ur connections again...

check the green wire to the corner light...

does ur side marker blink when u signal?

-------------------------------------------------

The green wire is the turning signal, red is the parking light signal, black is ground.

Looks like on one side you tapped into the Parking light signal. and on the other you tapped into the turn signal

Did you cut off the wire to the parking light/turn signal socket to where it only turns on with the headlights, and not for the turn signal?

all i did was cut the red wire, made it connect the wire to the sidemarker and the 2 sides of the red wire... same for the green wire.

You're not supposed to cut the red parking light completely.
