How can you test INNER cv joints?
My Driveshaft shop axel had a bad OUTER cv joint that clicked really bad so I ordered a new outer joint from Driveshaft Shop. After racing at the track, on my way home I noticed the car would shake under throttle. I figured that joint **** the bed. So I replaced it. It still shakes under throttle. Something else let go. I am replacing the tie rod bushings, and not that I think it is this, but also the upper ball joints. I also will check the rear motor mount since I havent check that one yet. It seems to me that it is drivetrain though. The only thing left is those inner joints. I dont want to replace them till I know they are bad, so is there any way to check or know if they are bad. thanks
Shaking on accelleration is usually inner joints. Do you have a set of OEM axles to try?
It could also be your steering rack... this is what im thinking my issue is now.

I did see that the boot on the rack was ripped a little. But it has been like that for a while. Its about 3 years old. Is it common for these to go that quick?
It's very common if the passengers side boot on the steering rack is torn (manual steering only). There is a white hard plastic bushing that the steering rack slides on inside the steering gearbox. Dust will wear that sucker down & allow all sorts of play in the passengers side of the steering system...
Here is my thread that details this problem in my CRX. There is lots of good pics form other members in the later pages. Any 88-00 Civic or teg with manual steering will be the similar...
