GReddy E-manage Ultimate issues
I have the GReddy E-manage Ultimate unit on my 1998 Honda Prelude Type-SH hooked up to the car via a Boomslang plug and play harness and I've been having some issues with it. I am running the latest firmware/software.
1. The ignition timing when in the high RPM becomes very erratic past a certain RPM. http://home.comcast.net/~dougiemd/car/lastlog.jpg
2. Hooking the E-manage Ultimate's ECT and IAT throws off the readings read by the ECU and the E-manage dramatically in both modes, HN_WT-1 & HN_WT-2 and HN_AT-1 and HN_AT-2. I know these numbers are off as the thermostat on my car opens at 180F which my coolant gauge agrees with but the car reads 150F when installed. The OBDII scanner reads 180F when uninstalled however. IAT is the same when it's a 85 degree ambient temps and I turn the car to on (not starting it) it reads mid/high 60's which isn't right. Thus currently both the ECT and IAT are not hooked up at all, they are removed from the harness and taped off.
Looking to see if anyone has any resolutions for this on a Honda since seemingly no one actually has this thing installed and working yet on a Honda!

Not a lot of people know how to the use thing...
Maybe your ignition problem is due to a dying distributor. Is yours OEM? How many miles on it? Are you just using the stock ignition or a MSD box?
Your IAT/ECT issues seem kind of odd. I know the thermistor is just part of a voltage divider within the ECU, but I'd also like to think the eManage has buffered inputs to prevent loading down of what you're connecting to....perhaps not.

Could it be the distributor? I tried a friend's unit on my car and it worked the same way as mine did so it doesn't seem to be the main unit. The OEM distributor has 110k miles on it, but I've never had an issue with it actually missing or causing any other issues that you'd think would happen from a dying distributor.
The IAT/ECT issues has to be from some kind of voltage buffer or something as you can change the settings inside the E-manage and have the readings change according to the E-manage and OBD2 scanners. So those are just going to get pulled, would of been nice to have but if they're going to adversely affect the car, they're gone.
