Default D16Z6 head on 89 D15B2 block?

I need to know will a d16z6 head fit on my 89 d15b2 block and is it a direct bolt on? Can a vtech head be bolted to a non-vtech block and will my distributor work with this head.

yes a d16z6 head will work with your block, and it is a direct bolt on, you need to remove the oil jet deal between #2 and #3 cylinders so it will get enough oil pressure to activate the vtec, you distributor will work but you will need to modify the head some, i would suggest converting to obd1, for that get the p28 ecu, dist. and you will need the obd1 conversion harness, you can stay obd0 but then you will have to activate the vtec with a rpm switch or other method, its just easlier in the long run to convert
