funny idle
I own a 1994 Honda Accord EX. It's a 2.2L VTEC, manual transmission. When I start the car the idle runs up to 2500 rpm. Then it drops down to 1000 rpm goes between 1000-2000 rpm at idle. The drives pretty much fine with the exception of the funny idle speed. I was wondering if there is any way that I can adjust the problem myself. I'm not sure if it is the idle speed, fuel filter, O2 sensor, or TPS. I am about to replace the filters and sensors. I would like to know if anybody has any suggestions of what the problem might be and/or how to fix it.

This is relatively common. What you can do is adjust the idle screw on the throttle body to just raise the idle rpm slightly. Other than that, this is very common with our cars.
if you arent throwing any codes, than nothing much you can do. if you want, you can replace some sensors, but i wouldnt recommend that. check to see if you have any vacuum leaks. this is a common problem.
One word, emissions. This lights the cat off quicker (more heat from the higher rpm), lowering emissions.

the problem is your fast idle valve
I think he thinks the guy is talking about a steady rpm idle that varies witht he temperature of the engine (i.e. when I start my accord in the morning it idles at 1500 until it gets to a set temp and then lowers the idle back down to the normal 750 rpms
