Default Manifold for EVO8 turbo on to a B~ NEW PICS!!!

Here is the manifold my shop created to attach an EVO 8 turbo into a B series motor.
The car cannot run a/c nor p/s with this setup. I am not going for the highest hp, but something with quick spool and enough power for a fun street car.
It will be in the car within 1 week or so. Will keep you guys updated.

If you guys are interested in my setup is pretty basic non-vtec.
Straight LS long block on GSR tranny.
Built bottom end with 9:1 on stock sleeves
Injectors, fpr, blah blah blah ( you get the idea)

Let me know what you guys think.

Thank you for your comments in advance.

Eddie

Thank you guys,
If this works as I am expect this turbo to do, we would like to start making a small production if people are interested. Nothing crazy, not trying to make a career out of it.. just an alternative.

The runners are the way they are because we are trying to achieve equal runners. I might not understand what you are pointing out, but we look everwhere on how would this work and still be cost effective, since those tubing aint cheap after all.

On the question of running out of steam.. well, evo are running out of steam at 18 psi up in the 8000 range. These turbo are effective up until 22psi on a 2 liter motor. If is not enough you can always upgrade the hot side to 10.5 (currently 9.5 I believe).
We will see what will happen.

Many people have PM me about the pricing, I really dont know, because the material cost of these things are expensive, how much do you guys think it shoudl be?

Well anyone off the street could get the materials for under $140, a good collector would be maybe $150 in high-rate man-hours if you have a jig, and welding - i don't know - $70 per hour. Most people here selling ramhorns are doing $500 for sch10 stainless. So... a 'unique' design would be a 50% markup

boostedej1- That's a very good estimate.
Don't forget the head flange, and also the turbo flange.
I could not find a turbo flange that was pre-made, so I had to ask a machine shop to actually make it from scratch.

Just getting the exhaust and downpipe all fab up. Will hit the dyno as soon as possible.

Thanks for the comments and laughs.

Sean- Nice to see you here once in a while.

hey eddie, this is adam (buddy of your ITR's current owner)

the manifold looks pretty good, i like the design a lot, and how you are making use of the twin scroll design. it should spool REALLY quick.

you might want to scuff it up, and kind of polish it before installing it, it will turn out looking a lot nicer once it gets really hot.

Tony1- To tell you the truth, I really dont know because I did not made the manifold my buddy did at his shop. Maybe you know?!
I am not a prof. welder or anything like that when it comes stuff like this. I just gave my buddy an idea, and he made it happen.

Adam- Thanks! yeah, it will be clean up just a bit before I put it on.

Well, wade was right, they're only $5-6/bend. That's why i found it funny when you were talking about how expensive the bends were. Were you going by what you buddy told you or something? lol

Tony1- 5-6 bucks is expensive I think. Specially when you have no idea how is going to turn out. so you just order as many as you think you will need plus extra.
I appreciate your input on this matter, you seem to know more then I do obviously. lol
On my comment on the wade- 5.12 pcs. I thought he was talking non-sense (like the whole manifold should cost 5.12).. I thought he was joking cause we are from the same ol state.
