Where to mount my AIR/FUEL guage & clutch question
I would really like to mount it on the pillar but I have a big race this weekend so I need to mount it! where should I mount it and what should I use to mount it. clutch Question Im installing a clutchbaster stage 1 clutch with a 11.5lb flywheel on saturday and I have a race sunday how long do I have to drive to break it in? Will it be ok to race on the next day if I drive it around alot? thanks
If you don't properly break in that new clutch, Its going to do the same thing it did before when you hit the spray. once you glaze that flywheel, you might as well pull it apart again. You need to give the surfaces time to mate to each other, sort of like when you replace front brake pads and resurface the rotors. If I were you i'd cancel that big race on sunday and save yourself lots of work. Hey, it will give you time to get a pillar gauge pod for your new A/F ratio gauge.

Your putting on an air/fuel gauge for your nitrous system right? I sure hope your planning on buying a wide-band o2 sensor....right? You will need one of those if you expect and air/fuel gauge to show accurate results.

hmmmm did not know that where can I buy a wide ban 02 sensor? and how much do they run thanks. Will the AIR/FUEL guage work at all? It should work when Im not spraying
Do you have a wideband 02 sensor? Do you have any idea how much they cost? It's on the order of $1000 for a wideband 02 sensor system.
It is not necessary, you only need it unless you're tuning. A regular 02 sensor and A/F guage will tell you if you're running lean or not, which is all you need to know.
This is why dyno shops offer wideband 02 tuning services, so you can use their expensive *** wideband 02 and not have to buy one yourself.

i'm just in the process of installing my three gauges; a/f, water temp, oil press. i chose to get the pillar pod thing with the 3 pods. looks good, install was not to hard, i would suggest it as a clean place to put your gauges. another solution might be to get a couple of those universal gauge pods and mount it on you dash. and i would say definately wait until your clutch is broken in properly, otherwise your gonna have to fork out for another one.
