Someone post a picture of your engine stamp that says "B16A1"
I'm sick of the asswhistles on D-series.org arguing with me that the "B16A1" doesn't exist when i've seen a block stamped with it in person, from my reading it's in the VTis in Europe, i posted a link and they still don't believe me, they're telling me it's only called a B16A(1 2 or 3) because it's how they sell them as OBD generations.

no it has a trailing in number in EDM.
JDM does not.
this is common knowledge for b16's.
they do it for other motors too.
k20a is jdm
k20a2 is usdm type-s.
kind of like that.
it get somewhat confuising since the del sol's had it a few years later here in the usa.
either way, why does it really matter?

Because i hate when false information is spread and if you read the thread, they're being insulting about it. It'd be nice to post a picture.

That is sorta true though what they say about that...Cause you idiots go around calling the 1g b16a a b16a1,,and the 2g b16a a b16a2,,,,and its not ,,**** even hmotors does or use too atleast....

People use the term 'B16A1' for a 1G JDM B16A because it is so much easier to use and everybody knows what it is.

I call my first gen jdm B16A a B16A cuz that's what it is... Calling the engine something it's not just doesn't make sense to me.
If I had a second gen jdm B16A i'd still call it a B16A, the same goes with B16A2, B16A3, B16A1. But whatever floats ur boat is cool.

Well it doesnt really matter d-series.org or clubsi.com or homemadeturbo.com or honda-tech.com....If they're wrong they're wrong....To say there is no such thing as a b16a1 and say you're a expert and know it all,etc,etc....That **** is annoying....
