Default D16A9 - B16A1 convertion problems.

When i ripped out my D16A9 and sold it i was a bit to fast i guess. Now that the new B16A1 is thrown in i have everything sorted out without this plug. Im not sure if i should snap of these two plugs that should fit eachother and hotwire them over.

ooooor i could continue waiting for the D16A9 engine harness.

These two plugs. The large round 10 pin and the little square 6 pin.

i woulda used your stock si harness. it would have pluged up to everthing. those plugs are for injectors/resistor box. get stock harness back and just wire in vtec.

Don't want to sound rude, but there is no such thing as a B16a1, just a B16a or B16a2

i did alot of motor swap and without the injectors resister box plug up that motor will not run, i would try to get the stock wiring harness back.

if you want to be technical then he has a b16a Sir 1 (i'm guessing b16a1 saves the typing and pple still know what it is)

no prob. My smite wasn't directed at you at all. But someone calling himself "VTEC-Power" should ******* know better than that.

Let me elaborate a bit then...
In europe, we have the VT model crx. It's basically a LDH SiR, only better. Full leather, power windows blah blah, the works. It came with the B16A1 engine up to 1991. The last few cars they started using B16A2 parts. That's why you sometimes see a 1st gen B16A1 with for example an a2 valve cover, and upgraded LMA's.

The D16A9, wich topicstarter is referring to, is basically a dohc ZC engine. The wiring is different from your Si harness, so alot of comments won't make any sense to him. For instance, his car has a seperate cam angle sensor, wich he has to re-integrate into the harness again.

Only advice I can give you really, is lay the workshop manuals side by side, and compare.
You'll have to route o2 sensor wires, since the D16A9 does not use o2 sensors.
You'll have to route a vtec pressure, vtec solenoid and an additional temp semsor wire for the PW0 or PM3 ecu. (wichever came with your engine)
