Running 4gaug wire threw my 97 Civic LX
Im going to be installing my system tommorow, the question is where is a easy way to run this fat 4gaug wire threw my firewall at? Be nice to know a good place so I dont have to spend much time doing this.
Yes it is doable, it does require some dis-assembly of the cars interior, remove pass. seat, [4 bolts, not that hard] remove rear seat, [one bolt for the bottom, back splits may not have to be removed, maybe 3 bolts at the most for pass. side split, remove pass kick panel trim, "pop" off the sill plate, [rocker panel trim cover] carpet is normally attached to trim fold carpet out of the way, run 4ga cable keeping in mind what has to go back where, you do not want to pinch the power cable, keep ir out from under the rear seat.

I don't see a reson to remove the seats. I did a few installs where only the kick panel trim and door sill plates were removed, and the wire was run under them. I never had to pull out seats.

I seem to recall it being necessary in my brothers ek, but that was quite awhile ago..
its certainly not necessary in an eg, but it does make things easier (even better is completely gutted)

Done my fair share of those!!
Works just as well in most cases though, because it'll eventually settle down sortof kinda "under" the seat...

i did the install yesterday for the power wire..i have a 4dr so i dont have to remove the seat...but the problem is punching through the firewall under the batery...i cant remove the bolts that holds the batery tray and that rubber gromet is so freakin tight its hard to put any thing through it.

Yep. That's what all mine did.

Or find another grommet through which you can fit the wire. I have my wire running from the battery (passenger side) through a grommet on the driver's side, because that grommet was out in the open and easy to get to.

Nope... Serious... Especially when I was working alone and the other asses would schedule 2 appointments for the same time slot, and especially on the seats that you needed to unbolt...
