CEL's... runs like crap.
So probably 5 months ago i was drivin up a hill with my bone stock daily driver 91 crx dx auto (with 70k miles
. As I go up the hill and all of a sudden a backfire and the car never started again. I took the head off the bottom end err a month ago to inspect for damage to the head, valves, or cylinders. Nothing, so I put it back together, and figured while it was apart id do the timing belt, waterpump, and balancer. So that was fine etc set the timing. After some tweakin the car, it started cept with CEL's. Codes 10 and 14. 10: "Intake air temperature sensor or circuit fault". 14: "Electronic Air Control Valve (EACV) malfunction or circuit fault. So today inspected all wiring in the harness, cleaned the connections and nothing. I installed a new IAT sensor today and still no go, still has codes 10 and 14.. Yes, I reset the ECU... It runs OK, but the ****** idle fluctuates like +-200rpm. Its not a vacuum leak.. checked. So im thinkin its definately the EACV setting off the IAT no? If I replace the EACV will the cel's go away and will it idle fine? I mean this car has been really taken care of... its a shame this is so gay. I couldnt find any wiring problems.
Help appreciated please.

it could also be that u have a buble in ur cooling system. there is many couses for fluctuating rpms
EDIT: if ur getting those codes and all the conections are all ok then there just bad.

all the connections bad? they look prime, no corrosion or anything.. i just changed all of the fluids, including the coolant that didnt do anything before. Um i checked all fuses too all are good.
I had a similar problem, and it was a failing IACV (EACV). I got a brand new unit from autozone (costed about 200 dollars -- I wanted to be guarenteed it would work). The new unit came from Wells, and was the EXACT same unit, Denso, with the same part number. I ordered mine for a B series. A D series was a little cheaper, but again, I wanted to take no chances.
I plugged that in, and then fucked with the idle screw until the idle was no longer surging. CEL went away.
The service book says to unplug the IACV to adjust your idle. I believe this is wrong. I spent like half an hour doing it this way, until I just left it in and adjusted the screw, then it was perfect. It's the only way to adjust the idle for me.
My suggestion? replace both the sensors that the ECU is throwing codes for.
btw, before i popped in the new iacv, I tried cleaning my old one. DID NOT make a difference for me. But you may want to try that. do a search for iacv cleaning.

word thats my exact plan. I asked a guy on here whos sellin a EACV off his d15b2 (same motor as mine) and the motor is perfectly fine.. he wants only 20 bucks shipped
yeah It's probably a faulty iacv, Unless it doesn't crank at all ( skimmed through your post, dont knwo if it did start or not). 20 bux for an eacv is worth a shot though. I mean why not.
